Winglight

A short prototype of a Rogue-lite type game made with Game Maker Studio 2. It's only a small prototype that I made to learn advanced notions in video games such as cinematics, dialogs, state machines, events, etc. I designed all assets, but there is no sound effect. I do not intend to develop a whole game based on this prototype.

Game description :

Winglight is a rogue-lite game, each time you die, you start again from the beginning. You can spend the resources you earned during your last try to improve your character and increase your chances of success for next runs.

The goal is to reach the end of the level and defeat the boss. The game ends here.

The layout of the level and every monsters positioning are randomized for each try, every run will be different.

The story is explained thanks to a dialog system and cutscenes.

There is a save system to allow the player to quit the game at any moment and keep his progression.
